With over 4 000 hours of instruction time accumulated in the past 12 years, I have the necessary experience to guide you on this exciting journey, starting with your ab-initio Private Pilot’s Licence, through to a Night Rating, Instrument Rating, and a Multi-engine rating. I am Instructor-rated on over 75 types of fixed-wing aircraft.
My base is Brakpan airfield, but I am listed on a number of Flight Schools in Gauteng, so there is no restriction to my travelling if you prefer to fly from somewhere else. I have even been to Durban and Cape Town for clients.
Another novel service is “Get to know your aircraft”. The prescribed training syllabus is so designed to produce a safe pilot, without the student, the instructor, or the flight school’s aeroplane getting hurt. I speak for myself when I say I was a nervous and unsure PPL when I got my licence 25 years ago. Only once I received training to become a Bush Pilot Instructor did I realise what I and the aircraft was capable of, always keeping safe. When you know your aeroplane, and get a “feel” of flying her, your confidence will soar, making you a safer pilot.
Proper Aeronautical Decision Making and Threat & Error Management go hand in hand with advanced instruction. (ADM & TEM)
Maybe you would like to brush up on your night flying, or could do with some Multi-engine handling help, or need a test-prep session, let me assist you!
I am known for my relaxed and calm style of instruction. A flustered student or client learns little!!
